The mistake of basing the quality of a prayer on the feeling it produces

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight

One of the enemy's goals is to train you to estimate the value and effectiveness of your prayer to be based on whether or not the prayer produced a particular desired feeling. Therefore causing your expectation of whether or not your prayer will be answered to be based on emotions as opposed to God's word. In addition, he also desires to train us to view our prayers as unanswered until we perceive its results within the realm of the five senses, thus deactivating our faith by causing our belief to be based on what we see; as opposed to our inward conviction of the reality of Gods word. These two wiles of the devil cause many Christians to abandon faith in regards to their prayer lives, in exchange for that which is the equivalent of begging and or mere wishful thinking. Than when a need that is detrimental arises in that believer's life, they have neither the hope nor the faith developed to come boldly before the throne of grace to obtain mercy and receive what good things The Lord has provided for them.

Faith Confession: Prayers aren't answered because of feelings, prayers are answered because of faith. As long as I pray in line with God's word, I know that he hears my prayer whether I feel like it or not.
